School focuses on quad bike safety
A quad bike accidents study calls for better safety education aimed at young riders. One Hawke's Bay high school took that message aboard five years ago and since then has taught and honed the riding and safety skills of about 200 Year 11 and Year 12 boys in a training programme which is the only one of its kind in the region.
With safety at the forefront, the school was delighted to gain the support of New Zealand company which has developed an effective flexible "LifeGuard®" safety roll bar for quad bikes.
